Queensland Writers Centre is delighted to publish the 5 shortlisted writers for the 2023 Scriptable program for emerging screenwriters.

These writers now enter the next phase of the Program, which includes consultation with Queensland Writers Centre staff, five hours of mentorship with a matched industry professional, and a development workshop.

2022 SHORTLIST ANNOUNCEMENT - 4 OCTOBER 2022

Queensland Writers Centre is delighted to publish the 4 shortlisted writers for the 2022 Scriptable program for emerging screenwriters.

2022 shortlist:

  • Bruno Starrs

  • Kirsty Budding

  • Rosina Floriani (Youth Category)

  • Samantha Hill

It was a record-breaking year for entries to the Scriptable program and it was fantastic especially to see many applicants to our inaugural Youth Category - the next generation of Australian screenwriters and industry talent.

The shortlisted writers will now be matched with experienced screen industry professionals for 5 hours of mentorship, during which they'll receive professional feedback on their work and guidance on the development of their career. We hope to see longstanding connections and creative partnerships form, and wish these writers all the best in their next stages of development.
